Imperial Valley Respite’s Agency Respite Program matches families with agency workers to provide short-term, non-medical care and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities so families can have relief from caregiving responsibilities.
Families will have the opportunity to meet and interview with an Imperial Valley Respite caregiver prior to starting services. The agency caregiver will come to your home to supervise, help with daily needs, and ensure safety for adults or children with developmental disabilities.
Providers are trained and experienced in providing quality companionship respite care.
Routine Respite provides parents/guardians a break.
Providers can assist with activities of daily living and routines.
Providers maintain safety within the home in the absence of the parent/guardian.
Providers are screened and vetted to meet high safety standards as required by the Department of Developmental Disabilities – State of California.
CPR and First Aid certified
Providers are provided with 5 hours of pre-employment training and ongoing professional development training.
Services are provided by an Imperial Valley Respite Care Provider with no previous relationship with the family.
Families can interview respite care providers and choose the care provider that meets their child’s needs.
Extensive Harassment training is conducted for our Care Providers
We match consumers or individuals with Qualified Respite Care Providers.
